The Land Covenant
The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine,
for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
Lev 25:23

What is the contemporary status of the promise of the 'promised land'?

1         A fruit of the covenant of works broken in Eden.

2         A temporary and transceded type of covenant of grace, part of old dispensation of Covenant of Grace: like circumcision or the Passover.

3          An inextricable foundation of covenant of grace - an irrevocable earthly pledge of the certainty of the Heavenly inheritance.

Like the person of Isaac in the promise of a Seed, vastly improved on
but never wholly replaced by its fuller substance.

In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.
Eze 20:6

"How inextricable difficulties do appear sometimes in passages of it,
which when God is pleased to teach us, are all pleasant and easy!"
